What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, each Franchise Agreement signed by an area developer will be Bigfoot Forestry's then-current form, and the terms may vary materially and substantially from the terms of the Initial Franchise Agreement. However, the initial franchise fee imposed under each Franchise Agreement shall be determined in accordance with the deal terms.
This means that while the specific terms and conditions in subsequent franchise agreements can change significantly from the initial agreement, the method for determining the initial franchise fee will remain consistent. This provides some level of predictability for area developers regarding this particular fee, even as other aspects of the agreement may evolve.
For a prospective Bigfoot Forestry area developer, this suggests that while the core financial obligation related to the initial franchise fee is somewhat standardized, other business terms are subject to change. It would be prudent for potential developers to carefully review the then-current form of the Franchise Agreement before signing any agreement to understand how the terms may have evolved and what impact those changes could have on their business.
