What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after the termination, expiration, or transfer of the franchise agreement, a franchisee must take specific steps to remove any association with the Bigfoot Forestry brand from their vehicles and operating equipment. This includes removing all decals, trade dress, and other references to Bigfoot Forestry's marks.

If reasonably necessary, the franchisee must repaint the operating equipment to eliminate any further use of the distinctive color schemes associated with Bigfoot Forestry. The franchisee is obligated to comply with these modifications to ensure there is no continued representation of the business after the agreement ends.

The franchisee must provide satisfactory evidence of compliance with these obligations within 30 days after the effective date of the termination, expiration, or transfer of the agreement. However, these subsections do not apply if the business is transferred to an approved transferee or if Bigfoot Forestry exercises its right to purchase the business, except that the clause regarding vehicle and equipment modification still applies to any vehicles or equipment not transferred to or acquired by Bigfoot Forestry or another franchisee.
