What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wishes to purchase alternative goods or services, or purchase from alternative suppliers, they must request approval from Bigfoot Forestry. The request must identify the proposed supplier and the goods or services to be purchased. Additionally, the request must include all information Bigfoot Forestry requires about the goods or services and the supplier.
This approval process is in place so that Bigfoot Forestry can maintain control over the uniformity and quality of goods and services used in the Bigfoot Forestry businesses. It also allows them to protect their trade secrets, negotiate bulk purchase discounts, and safeguard the reputation and goodwill associated with their system and marks.
Bigfoot Forestry franchisees must immediately stop purchasing from any supplier that Bigfoot Forestry disapproves. This requirement ensures that franchisees adhere to the franchisor's standards and maintain consistency across all Bigfoot Forestry locations.
