What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to spend a minimum of $2,500 on approved grand opening marketing activities. The timing of these expenses is split into two phases. First, within 14 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, a payment of $1,425 is due to Bigfoot Forestry's designated SEO marketing company. This initial payment covers a $950 marketing kick-off fee and the first monthly $475 digital marketing fee.
To meet the minimum spending requirement of $2,500, franchisees must then allocate an additional $1,075 towards approved grand opening marketing activities. This remaining amount is to be spent during the 120-day period following the initial $1,425 payment to the SEO marketing company.
Prospective Bigfoot Forestry franchisees should note that the FDD indicates the high estimate for grand opening advertising in the initial investment table assumes spending more than the $2,500 minimum. Therefore, franchisees have the option to invest more in grand opening marketing beyond the required minimum.
