What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before employees can access confidential information, they must sign a Confidentiality Agreement. This requirement applies specifically to Project Managers and Service Technicians. A Project Manager is a person hired to manage and supervise the Bigfoot Forestry Business if the franchisee does not adhere to an owner-operator model or if they own and operate more than three Bigfoot Forestry Businesses. Service Technicians are the individuals authorized to provide Bigfoot Forestry Services.

The Confidentiality Agreement is attached as Attachment E to the Franchise Agreement. This agreement ensures that employees understand the importance of protecting Bigfoot Forestry's intellectual property and confidential information. By signing the agreement, employees acknowledge that they may gain knowledge of Bigfoot Forestry's system and know-how and agree to comply with the terms outlined in the agreement to prevent misuse of intellectual property.

This requirement is a standard practice in franchising to protect the franchisor's proprietary information and maintain a competitive advantage. For a prospective Bigfoot Forestry franchisee, this means they must ensure that all Project Managers and Service Technicians sign the Confidentiality Agreement before they are exposed to any confidential information related to the Bigfoot Forestry business. This is a critical step in maintaining the integrity of the Bigfoot Forestry system and protecting the franchisor's and other franchisees' interests.
