What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bigfoot Forestry Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees do not have voting rights regarding the Brand Fund. The Brand Fund is used to promote public recognition of the Bigfoot Forestry brand and improve its system.
The Brand Fund fee is up to 3% of Gross Sales, but is currently 1% of Gross Sales. This fee is due at the same time as the royalty fee.
Specifically, the FDD states that franchisees have no voting rights pertaining to the administration of the Brand Fund, the creation or placement of advertising, or the amount of the brand fund fee. This means Bigfoot Forestry retains full control over how the Brand Fund is managed and spent, including advertising strategies and the amount franchisees are required to contribute.
