What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bigfoot Forestry FDD, franchisees are explicitly restricted from using Bigfoot Forestry email addresses for personal use. Bigfoot Forestry will provide a certain number of email addresses to the franchisee at no additional charge. However, these email addresses must be used exclusively for communications related to the Bigfoot Forestry business, including interactions with Bigfoot Forestry itself, customers, and suppliers.
Bigfoot Forestry retains ownership of these email addresses and accounts, granting the franchisee the right to use them only during the term of the franchise agreement. If a franchisee requires additional email addresses beyond the initial allocation, Bigfoot Forestry may charge a fee for each additional address. This fee is added to the technology fee, which covers various technology-related expenses.
This policy ensures that all business communications are conducted through official channels, maintaining a professional image and allowing Bigfoot Forestry to monitor and manage its brand reputation. It also protects the confidentiality of business-related information and prevents the misuse of company resources for personal activities. Franchisees should factor in these restrictions and plan their communication strategies accordingly, ensuring that personal and business communications remain separate.
