What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all operational and customer data relating to a franchisee's Bigfoot Forestry Business is owned by the franchisor. As a franchisee, you are required to treat this data as confidential and proprietary.
Bigfoot Forestry licenses franchisees the right to use this data during the term of the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees must also comply with all applicable data protection laws and the franchisor's data processing and data privacy policies as outlined in the Manual.
This means that while you can use the data to operate your franchise, you cannot share it with unauthorized parties or use it in any way that violates the franchise agreement or applicable laws. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as it protects the franchisor's business model and customer relationships. Franchisees should carefully review the Manual and Franchise Agreement to fully understand their obligations regarding data protection and privacy.
