What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may be able to get an extension on their opening date. However, this is at the sole discretion of Bigfoot Forestry. To be considered for an extension, the franchisee must demonstrate to Bigfoot Forestry's satisfaction that they used their best efforts to comply with the original opening date.

Additionally, the franchisee must show that the need for an extension is due to unforeseeable delays. The delays must not be a result of the franchisee's lack of diligence or insufficient funding. This means that franchisees should document all efforts made to meet the opening date and be prepared to explain any delays that were outside of their control.

It is important to note that the opening date listed in the Development Schedule for a Bigfoot Forestry Business may be earlier than the opening date required under the terms of the associated Franchise Agreement. To comply with the Development Schedule, franchisees must open each Bigfoot Forestry Business by the opening date listed in the Development Schedule, even if such date is earlier than the opening date required by the associated Franchise Agreement. This highlights the importance of careful planning and diligent execution to meet the agreed-upon development timelines.
