What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must open their business to the public within 120 days after the Effective Date of the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee is also required to notify Bigfoot Forestry of their proposed opening date at least 15 days before opening. The franchisee cannot open their Bigfoot Forestry business before receiving written authorization from the franchisor.

Bigfoot Forestry will not issue authorization to open until certain conditions are met. These conditions include the Managing Owner and Project Manager (if applicable) successfully completing initial training, the franchisee purchasing all required items and a Bigfoot Forestry Vehicle, and Bigfoot Forestry inspecting and confirming that the vehicle meets their standards and specifications. Additionally, the franchisee must secure access to a suitable Storage Facility before opening.

For a prospective Bigfoot Forestry franchisee, this means that they need to plan and execute all the pre-opening tasks efficiently to meet the 120-day deadline. This includes securing financing, completing training, acquiring and preparing the required vehicle, purchasing necessary equipment and supplies, and finding a suitable storage facility. Failure to meet these requirements and open within the stipulated timeframe could result in penalties or termination of the Franchise Agreement.
