What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase and use designated Technology Systems, including a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. The FDD does not explicitly state to whom the CRM fee is paid. However, it does state that franchisees must pay Bigfoot Forestry a technology fee of $350 per month ($4,200 per year) for certain software, technology, and related services that Bigfoot Forestry provides. This technology fee covers the cost of the Microsoft 365 account and technology support.
While the FDD mentions the requirement to purchase a CRM system as part of the Technology Systems, it does not specify whether the CRM is provided directly by Bigfoot Forestry, through an affiliate, or a third-party vendor. It also does not explicitly state whether the $350 monthly technology fee covers the CRM system itself or just related support.
A prospective Bigfoot Forestry franchisee should clarify with the franchisor whether the CRM is included in the technology fee, who the payment for the CRM is made to, and if the franchisee is required to purchase the CRM system from a specific vendor or if they have a choice. Understanding these details is crucial for accurately assessing the ongoing technology costs associated with operating a Bigfoot Forestry franchise.
