What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is granted a territory that consists of a specific geographic area, as described in Part E of Attachment A of the agreement. This territory will not change during the term of the agreement based on demographic changes.

The franchisee is generally restricted to providing Bigfoot Forestry Services at job sites located within their designated territory. However, with prior approval from Bigfoot Forestry, a franchisee may be allowed to provide services in an 'Approved Open Territory,' which is an area outside their territory but adjacent to it. Bigfoot Forestry can revoke this approval at any time, requiring the franchisee to cease operations in the approved area and transfer any ongoing projects to Bigfoot Forestry or its designee.

Bigfoot Forestry retains certain rights within the franchisee's territory, including the right to engage in acquisitions, even if those acquisitions result in competitive businesses operating within the territory. Bigfoot Forestry also has the exclusive right to enter into contracts with National Account customers, allowing them or other franchisees to provide services within the franchisee's territory for these national accounts. Additionally, Bigfoot Forestry reserves the right to sell or license others to sell competitive goods and services within the franchisee's territory through alternative channels of distribution.
