What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bigfoot Forestry has the authority to modify the authorized goods and services that franchisees are permitted to offer. Franchisees are obligated to comply with any instructions from Bigfoot Forestry regarding these changes. This includes offering all Bigfoot Forestry Services that the company requires from time to time, based on their commercially reasonable discretion.
Bigfoot Forestry may also designate certain services as optional, giving franchisees the choice, but not the obligation, to provide them. However, offering these optional services may require franchisees to complete additional training, acquire more equipment and tools, and obtain additional licenses or permits. Franchisees are prohibited from offering any goods or services that Bigfoot Forestry has not approved or has specifically disapproved.
This provision allows Bigfoot Forestry to adapt to market changes, introduce new service offerings, or discontinue existing ones as they see fit. While such changes do not constitute a termination of the Franchise Agreement, it does mean that franchisees must stay flexible and be prepared to invest further in training or equipment to meet Bigfoot Forestry's evolving requirements. This level of control is typical in franchising, allowing the franchisor to maintain brand consistency and quality across all locations.
