What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the document does not specify an acknowledgement form that each employee of a Bigfoot Forestry franchise must sign. However, if a franchisee opens and operates more than three Bigfoot Forestry businesses, they must hire a Project Manager to manage between one and three of the locations. Each Project Manager must meet all criteria and conditions set forth in the most recent Franchise Agreement executed by the franchisee. Additionally, each Owner, and the spouse of each Owner who is a natural Person, must sign a Franchise Owner Agreement.
While there isn't a specific employee acknowledgement form mentioned, the FDD does outline several agreements and acknowledgements that franchisees and owners must adhere to. For example, franchisees must sign a Franchisee Disclosure Questionnaire to acknowledge they had adequate opportunity to review the Franchise Disclosure Document and consult with advisors before signing the Franchise Agreement. This questionnaire is designed to ensure proper sales procedures were followed and that the franchisee is fully informed.
Prospective franchisees should inquire with Bigfoot Forestry about any required acknowledgement forms for employees during their due diligence. Understanding all required legal and operational documents is crucial for compliance and smooth business operations. It would be prudent to ask the franchisor directly about any forms or agreements not explicitly mentioned in the FDD but are nonetheless required for employees or specific roles within the franchise.
