What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Big O Tires' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, tenants are required to adhere to specific rules and regulations concerning their business operations during the lease term. Big O Tires tenants must operate their businesses continuously from the leased premises as outlined in Subsection 5.2 of the lease. They are not allowed to vacate or abandon the premises or cease conducting business operations as required by the lease. The leased premises can only be used as a Big O Tires retail store for the sale of tires, undercar parts, automotive accessories, and related automotive service work, unless the landlord provides prior written consent for any other purpose.

All repair and service work must be performed inside the tenant's leased premises, although initial inspections may be conducted outside. Tenants are responsible for containing by-products of service and repair work, such as tires, oils, and lubricants, within their leased premises and disposing of them in an authorized manner as determined by the landlord and local laws. Any vehicles requiring overnight storage must be housed inside the tenant's leased premises or another pre-authorized storage area designated by the landlord.

Tenants are responsible for cleaning up spills, wreckage, and debris. They are also permitted to temporarily hang professionally rendered signs and banners on the exterior of the building, provided they obtain prior approval from the landlord and maintain the signs in a clean and undamaged condition. These regulations ensure that Big O Tires locations maintain a consistent standard of operation and appearance, protecting the brand's image and customer experience.
