What is the minimum tire unit requirement for a Big O Tires store?
Big_O_Tires Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must at all times have in stock at your Store a complete representative line of Big O private brand tires, related merchandise, and other products and services in such quantities as we may periodically prescribe (Franchise Agreement Section 14.01). As of the date of this disclosure document, the Manual requires, among other things, that you carry a minimum of 700 tire units, consisting of a majority of Big O brand tires, Big O exclusive tires, or other brand tires periodically designated by us as exclusive to the Big O product screen. Big O may periodically change these requirements for its franchisees generally or for particular areas or circumstances. (Item 8 and Franchise Agreement Section 14.01).

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Big O Tires' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain a specific inventory of tires. The FDD specifies that a Big O Tires store must carry a minimum of 700 tire units.
The 700 tire units must consist of a majority of Big O brand tires, Big O exclusive tires, or other brand tires that Big O periodically designates as exclusive to the Big O product screen. This requirement ensures that franchisees offer a representative line of Big O private brand tires and related merchandise.
Big O Tires retains the right to modify these inventory requirements for all franchisees or specific locations based on particular areas or circumstances. This allows Big O Tires to adapt to changing market conditions or regional demands, but it also means that a franchisee's initial inventory investment and ongoing stocking requirements could change over time. Therefore, prospective franchisees should discuss potential inventory fluctuations and related costs with Big O Tires before signing the franchise agreement.
