What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Big Blue Swim School's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cooperative Contributions are due 'as specified'. The amount of these contributions can be up to 4% of the School’s Gross Revenue during each Calculation Period. However, as of the FDD date, Big Blue Swim School has not yet formed any Cooperatives and does not currently require Cooperative contributions.
These Cooperative Contributions, if implemented, would count toward the Local Marketing Spending Requirement for the Big Blue Swim School franchise, but not toward the initial public relations and market introduction program or required Brand Fund contributions. The Local Marketing Spending Requirement is 6% of the School’s quarterly Gross Revenue.
Prospective franchisees should note that while Cooperative Contributions are not currently required, Big Blue Swim School retains the right to form Cooperatives in the future and require these contributions. It is important to clarify with the franchisor the specific conditions under which Cooperatives may be formed and how the contribution amounts and due dates will be determined if they are implemented.
