What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement can be terminated if the Franchisee's General Manager fails to complete the Initial Training to Bhc's satisfaction. However, Bhc will offer the General Manager who failed to successfully complete the initial training, an opportunity to retake the Initial Training. Alternatively, the franchisee can send a replacement General Manager, approved by Bhc, to the next available Initial Training program.
This stipulation highlights the importance Bhc places on its training program. It ensures that each location is managed by someone who meets their standards. The initial training program lasts for six days, but the number of days may vary depending on the Franchisee's experience and needs as determined by Bhc. The fee for the Initial Training is $8,000 for up to two persons, excluding travel expenses.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that ensuring your General Manager is adequately prepared for and successfully completes the initial training is crucial to avoid potential termination of the agreement. It also provides a safety net, allowing for a second chance through retraining or replacement, which can be beneficial in unforeseen circumstances. Franchisees should factor in the cost of potential retraining or replacement when planning their initial investment.
