You may not open your Affiliate Franchised BHC Restaurant until you receive written authorization from us to do so, which may be subject to our satisfactory inspection of your Affiliate Franchised BHC Restaurant.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an Affiliate Franchisee may not open their Bhc restaurant until they receive written authorization from Bhc to do so. This authorization is contingent upon Bhc's satisfactory inspection of the Affiliate Franchised Bhc Restaurant.
In addition to receiving written authorization and passing inspection, the franchisee and their attendees must successfully complete the entire initial training program to Bhc's satisfaction at least one day before opening. If the franchisee or their attendees do not successfully graduate from the training program, they will have to attend the entire program again at their own cost before opening the Bhc restaurant.
These conditions ensure that the Bhc restaurant meets the franchisor's standards and that the franchisee and their staff are adequately trained to operate the business. This is a common practice in franchising, as franchisors want to protect their brand and ensure consistency across all locations. The cost of any additional training needed if the franchisee or their attendees do not pass the initial training will be the responsibility of the franchisee.
