  • (vi) Provide you with a written specification of necessary equipment, fixtures, opening inventory, supplies, list of all BHC Products, and other foods, food items and beverages that must be sold at your Affiliate Franchised BHC Restaurant and a list of approved and designated suppliers (see section 7.3(a) of the MFA).

We do not deliver or install the necessary equipment and fixtures.

You are responsible for the costs of leasehold improvement and remodeling.

You must purchase and use a technology system necessary for the operation of your Master Franchise Business and in the Master Franchised BHC Restaurants, and ensure your Affiliate Franchisee your Subfranchisees purchase and use the specified Computer System for the Master Franchised BHC Restaurants we require (see section 8.4 of the MFA).

(i) The Computer System will generate reports on the sales and expenses of the BHC Restaurants, and it currently costs between $7,000 and $10,000.

  • (ii) You, your Affiliate Franchisee, and your Subfranchisees will be solely responsible for the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and upgrading of the Computer System.

  • (xvii) You are obligated to maintain and occasionally refurbish the Master Franchised BHC Restaurant to conform to our currently effective "Trade Dress" (as defined in the MFA) and color standards for BHC Restaurants.

This maintenance and refurbishment may require expenditures by you, your Affiliate Franchisee, and your Subfranchisees on structural changes, installing new equipment, remodeling, redecoration, and modifications, or to accommodate new BHC Products.

Details on Trade Dress updates will be contained in the Operations Manual or as otherwise provided to you in writing.

We anticipate that Trade Dress updates will be required no more frequently than once every five years.
