What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a Master Franchisee, you are granted the right to use specific intellectual property. This includes the "BHC CHICKEN" mark and "BHC" name. Additionally, you can use other trademarks, service marks, tradenames, logos, designs, and identifying slogans that Bhc specifically designates in the Master Franchise Agreement (MFA) or in writing. These marks may be registered or unregistered.

Beyond the Trademarks, Bhc also grants Master Franchisees the right to use the "System" and its "IP Rights." This usage must align with the guidelines provided in Bhc's manuals and other operational requirements for Master Franchise Businesses. The "System" itself is defined by a distinctive layout, service style, design, signs, décor, furnishings, recipes, procedures, and techniques.

In essence, as a Bhc Master Franchisee, you gain access to a comprehensive suite of intellectual property. This includes brand names, logos, and the operational system necessary to establish and run Master Franchise Businesses. However, it is important to adhere to Bhc's guidelines and requirements for using these intellectual property rights.
