What is the Site Design Review Fee that the Master Franchisee must pay to Bhc?

According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Master Franchisee is required to pay a Site Design Review Fee of $2,500 to Bhc. This fee covers the costs and expenses that Bhc incurs while providing the site design review for the Franchised BHC Restaurant. In addition to the Site Design Review Fee, the Master Franchisee must also pay a Site Review Fee, which ranges from $2,000 to $4,000.

It is important to note that the Master Franchisee is also responsible for employing architects, designers, and engineers, who are reasonably acceptable to Bhc, to complete, adapt, modify, or substitute the sample plans and specifications for the BHC Restaurant. The Master Franchisee bears the expense of these services and must also handle all licensing-related matters. This indicates that while Bhc provides a sample prototype layout and floor plan, the Master Franchisee is responsible for tailoring these plans to the specific site and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Furthermore, the Master Franchisee must use licensed general contractors, designers, vendors, and architects accepted by Bhc before performing any leasehold improvement work at the Franchised BHC Restaurant. Bhc retains control over the design of the restaurant and requires written approval for any changes to the plans. This ensures that all locations adhere to Bhc's brand standards and operational requirements. The Master Franchisee cannot modify the design or choose third-party designers without Bhc's express written consent.
