What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Master Franchisee is solely responsible for all costs and expenses associated with their attendees at any post-opening training, additional training, conferences, or meetings. These costs include travel, hotel, and meals. Bhc also stipulates that all individuals attending these events on behalf of the Master Franchisee must have a demonstrable connection to the management and operation of the Master Franchised Bhc Restaurant.
This means that if you invest in a Master Franchise with Bhc, you will need to budget for the expenses of sending your personnel to any required or recommended training sessions after the initial opening. These costs can accumulate quickly depending on the frequency of training, the number of employees attending, and the location of the training events. It is important to factor these ongoing training expenses into your financial projections.
This requirement is fairly standard in the franchise industry, as franchisors typically require franchisees and their staff to undergo regular training to maintain brand standards and operational efficiency. However, the specific costs and frequency of training can vary significantly between franchise systems. Therefore, prospective Bhc Master Franchisees should inquire about the typical annual training schedule and associated costs to get a clear understanding of this financial obligation.
