Answer from 2025 FDD Document

  • (n) Nothing contained in this Disclosure Document or in Franchise Agreement requires Franchisor to approve an inordinate number of suppliers of a given item or approve suppliers, which, in Franchisor's reasonable judgment, would result in higher costs to franchisees or prevent, in Franchisor's sole judgment, our effective and economical supervision of suppliers.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bhc is not required to approve an unlimited number of suppliers for any given item. Bhc retains the right to limit the number of approved suppliers. This is to ensure quality control and maintain standards across all franchise locations.

Bhc also does not have to approve suppliers that, in its reasonable judgment, would lead to higher costs for franchisees or prevent effective and economical supervision of the supply chain. This provision protects Bhc's ability to manage costs and maintain operational efficiency within the franchise system.

This policy is typical in franchising, as franchisors need to balance franchisee autonomy with the need to maintain brand consistency and cost-effectiveness. Prospective Bhc franchisees should understand that while they can propose alternative suppliers, Bhc has the final say in supplier approval.
