What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Master Franchisee must pay a Renewal Fee of $40,000 when signing the Renewal Franchise Agreement. This fee is paid directly to Bhc.
In addition to the Renewal Fee, the Master Franchisee must ensure that the Master Franchised Bhc Restaurant and all equipment, materials, and supplies are compliant with the standards applicable to new Bhc franchises at the time of renewal. This may involve physical modifications or remodels to align with the current trade dress or system requirements, and to accommodate any new Bhc products.
To be eligible for renewal, the Master Franchisee must meet certain conditions, including satisfying all monetary and material obligations to Bhc and its affiliates. Bhc may also examine the Master Franchisee's books and records to verify compliance within 120 days of the renewal date. The Renewal Franchise Agreement may contain terms that are substantially different from the original agreement, and it supersedes the original agreement upon execution.
