What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a renewal fee of $40,000 when signing the Renewal Franchise Agreement. This fee is a condition for renewing the franchise rights.
In addition to the renewal fee, Bhc requires that franchisees meet certain conditions to be eligible for renewal. Franchisees must sign a Renewal Franchise Agreement, which may contain terms substantially different from the original agreement. Franchisees must also satisfy all monetary and material obligations to Bhc and its affiliates.
Before or within 90 days after signing the Renewal Franchise Agreement, franchisees must make any necessary physical modifications to their Bhc restaurant to align with the current trade dress, system requirements, and accommodate any new Bhc products. The franchisee must also ensure the restaurant and its equipment, materials, and supplies comply with the standards applicable to new Bhc franchises at the time of renewal.
These requirements ensure that Bhc franchisees maintain the brand's standards and continue to meet their financial obligations. Prospective franchisees should consider these costs and obligations when evaluating the long-term investment in a Bhc franchise.
