What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Master Franchisee is required to pay a Site Review Fee ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 to Bhc. This fee covers the costs and expenses Bhc incurs while providing a site review for the Master Franchisee's proposed location. In addition to the Site Review Fee, the Master Franchisee must also pay a Site Design Review Fee of $2,500.
Bhc may assist the Master Franchisee in the site selection process, but the final decision on the location rests solely with Bhc. Bhc evaluates potential sites using demographic information, analyzing factors such as income figures, traffic patterns, visibility, population density, competition, zoning, parking, and accessibility. However, Bhc states that their approval of a site does not guarantee the success of the Bhc business at that location.
It is important to note that the Master Franchisee is responsible for employing architects, designers, and engineers to adapt the prototype plans for the Franchised BHC Restaurant. The Master Franchisee is also responsible for all costs associated with these services and for obtaining the necessary permits and licenses. The architect must submit a complete set of final plans to Bhc before any leasehold improvements are made to the restaurant.
