What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, information regarding personnel, including compensation and personnel files, is considered Confidential Information. This means that Bhc treats such information as valuable and confidential, and it is disclosed or made available to the franchisee or their employees or agents under the condition of confidentiality.

As a Bhc franchisee, you are obligated to protect the confidentiality of personnel files and compensation information. This includes safeguarding the information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. This obligation extends both during the term of the franchise agreement and after its termination.

The broad definition of 'Confidential Information' also covers other sensitive aspects of the Bhc business, such as the Operations Manual, financial data, marketing plans, recipes, customer lists, and information about business partners. This underscores the importance Bhc places on protecting its proprietary information and maintaining a competitive advantage.

Franchisees should establish clear policies and procedures to ensure that all employees understand their obligations to protect confidential information. This may include implementing security measures, providing training on data protection, and requiring employees to sign confidentiality agreements.
