What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain an adequate level of supplies and inventory to properly operate their franchised restaurant. This requirement ensures that franchisees can meet consumer demand and uphold the brand's standards for service and quality. Bhc retains the right to regularly inspect a franchisee's restaurant to ensure compliance.

Bhc franchisees are required to purchase inventory and supplies from Bhc or its designated suppliers. This includes proprietary products and other items necessary for operating the restaurant. Bhc will provide franchisees with a list of approved manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors, as well as a list of approved inventory products, fixtures, furniture, equipment, and other necessary items. Franchisees must adhere to these approved lists to maintain consistency and quality within the Bhc system.

While the FDD excerpt specifies the requirement to maintain adequate supplies and inventory, it does not explicitly detail the consequences of failing to do so. However, it can be inferred that not maintaining adequate supplies and inventory could lead to operational deficiencies, customer dissatisfaction, and potential damage to the Bhc brand's reputation. Furthermore, failure to comply with the standards and operating procedures set forth by Bhc could potentially lead to further action from the franchisor, as detailed elsewhere in the FDD regarding breaches of the franchise agreement.
