What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain a dedicated phone line and modem for the computer system. Specifically, franchisees must ensure they maintain a phone line and a separate modem dedicated solely for the purpose of allowing Bhc's computer system to interface and communicate with the franchisee's computer system.

In addition to the dedicated phone line and modem, Bhc franchisees must also ensure their BHC Restaurant is connected to the Internet using a connection method approved by Bhc, which is currently DSL or Cable modem. Franchisees must also have a permanent Internet email account. The costs associated with the data storage, phone line, modem, communication software, Internet access, Internet email account, and all additional hardware and software needed to implement and maintain these services are the responsibility of the franchisee.

This computer system allows Bhc to communicate with its franchisees and subfranchisees, as well as to poll and review the results of the BHC Restaurants' operations. This includes access to sales data, consumer trends, food and labor costs, and other financial information. Franchisees must provide accurate, complete, and full disclosure of their books and accounts and give Bhc direct access to any third parties through which revenue is generated, such as Uber Eats, Postmates, Eat24, and Door Dash.
