What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from installing unauthorized software on the Computer System. This restriction is in place to protect the integrity and security of the system, as well as to maintain uniformity across all franchise locations.
The franchisee must also take commercially reasonable measures to prevent the installation or transmission of malicious code, malware, or other unauthorized software. This includes ensuring that employees do not install unauthorized programs and that the computer system is protected against external threats. Franchisees are also required to provide Bhc with all necessary passwords, access keys, and other security information to allow Bhc to access the Computer System and obtain data related to the operation of the franchised business.
This policy ensures that Bhc can maintain control over the technology used in its franchise locations, safeguarding customer data and maintaining consistent operational standards. Failure to comply with these requirements could result in a breach of the franchise agreement and potential penalties. Prospective franchisees should understand the importance of adhering to these technology guidelines to maintain a successful and compliant Bhc franchise.
