What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the cost for furniture, fixtures, and equipment includes the fried chicken making machines, refrigerators, freezers, office equipment and furniture, and a telephone system. However, the FDD does not provide a specific estimated range for these expenses. Instead, it mentions that the amounts in Item 7 represent the estimated costs and expenses for the Franchisor's trainer(s) and additional expenses that the Affiliate Franchisee will incur for the Affiliate Franchisee and one additional person to attend the initial training program.
Prospective Bhc franchisees should note that the actual costs for furniture, fixtures, and equipment can vary significantly. Factors influencing these costs include the specific equipment selected, the size of the restaurant, and whether new or used equipment is purchased. Given the absence of a concrete range in the FDD, it is crucial for potential franchisees to conduct thorough market research and obtain detailed quotes from suppliers to develop a realistic budget.
To gain a clearer understanding of the potential investment, it is recommended that prospective Bhc franchisees directly engage with the franchisor. Specifically, they should inquire about typical costs incurred by other franchisees for these items. Additionally, speaking with existing franchisees can provide valuable insights into real-world expenses and help in preparing a more accurate financial projection. This due diligence is essential for making an informed decision about investing in a Bhc franchise.
