What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee or master franchisee proposes to use an Alternative Supplier, Bhc will provide written approval or disapproval within a reasonable time period, typically 30 days.

This means that if a franchisee wants to use a supplier not already approved by Bhc, they must submit a written notification along with sufficient information, specifications, and samples for Bhc to evaluate whether the supplier meets the system's standards. Bhc then has approximately 30 days to review the proposal and provide a decision.

It is important for prospective franchisees to understand that using unapproved suppliers without prior authorization from Bhc is not allowed. Franchisees should factor this 30-day approval period into their planning when considering new suppliers to avoid potential delays or compliance issues. This process ensures that all suppliers meet Bhc's standards for product quality, service, and other criteria, maintaining consistency across all franchise locations.
