What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bhc's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'BHC System' or 'System' encompasses various elements that Bhc may modify over time. These include distinctive signs, recipes, uniforms, trade secrets and other confidential information, equipment specifications, layout plans, inventory, and marketing techniques. The system also incorporates a special design and color scheme for buildings, methods for inventory and operation control, bookkeeping and accounting procedures, and a manual of business practices and policies.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that the Bhc franchise provides a comprehensive operational framework. Franchisees must adhere to the standards and procedures outlined in the system, which covers everything from the restaurant's physical appearance to its financial management. The system aims to ensure consistency across all Bhc locations, maintaining brand identity and customer experience.
However, Bhc retains the right to change the system, and all modifications become Bhc's property. This implies that franchisees must stay updated with any changes and implement them in their restaurants. While this allows Bhc to adapt to market trends and improve the system, it also means franchisees may need to invest in updates and modifications as required by Bhc.
