Bft Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
A "Head Coach" is an individual who (1) attends and completes Pre-Opening Instructor Training and the Fundamentals Training Program; and (2) is otherwise approved by us as a Head Coach. Our then-current criteria and conditions for an individual who desires to become a Head Coach will be set forth in our Learning Management System. Currently, our Pre-Opening Instructor Training is held virtually, but we may require you to attend an inperson training in the future.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an individual must meet two requirements to be approved as a Head Coach. First, they must attend and complete both the Pre-Opening Instructor Training and the Fundamentals Training Program. Second, Bft must otherwise approve them as a Head Coach.
The Pre-Opening Instructor Training consists of approximately 17 hours of online instruction and 16 hours of in-studio training, totaling 33 hours. Head Coaches must complete an additional 8 hours, bringing their total training time to 41 hours. The FDD states that the criteria and conditions for becoming a Head Coach are set forth in Bft's Learning Management System.
For a prospective franchisee, understanding the Head Coach requirements is crucial for staffing their studio with qualified instructors. Franchisees should familiarize themselves with the Learning Management System to understand the specific criteria Bft uses for Head Coach approval. This ensures that individuals selected for this role meet Bft's standards and can effectively lead training sessions.
