Bft Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

ditional sourcing fee of $28,000 (in addition to the Initial Franchise Fee).

3 Travel and Living Expenses While Training. You (or, if you are an entity, your Operating Principal) must complete the "Owner/Operator Training Module" and our proprietary initial training program (the "Initial Training Program"). We will not charge any tuition or training fee in connection with your attendance of our Initial Training Program, provided all individuals attend at the same time. The estimate in Table A above assumes that you (or, if you are an entity, your Operating Principal) will attend the Owner/Operator Training Module of the Initial Training Program, and you will be responsible for the costs and expenses associated with attending our Initial Training Program (e.g., transportation, meals, lodging and other expenses). The amount you will spend while training will depend on several factors, including the number of persons attending, the distance you must travel and the type of accommodations you choose, if any are needed.

4 Real Estate/Lease. If you do not own adequate Studio space, you must lease suitable premises. In addition to base rent, the lease may require you to pay common area maintenance charges, your pro rata share of the real

estate taxes and insurance, and your pro rata share of HVAC and trash removal, which are included in the ranges provided above. You will also likely be required to pay a security deposit. This estimate includes three (3) months of base rent plus one (1) month for estimating the security deposit.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bft does not charge a tuition or training fee for the mandatory Initial Training Program that the Operating Principal must attend. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all associated costs and expenses related to attending the Initial Training Program, such as transportation, meals, and lodging. The FDD estimates these travel and living expenses to range from $0 to $2,500.

Bft does charge a Pre-Opening Instructor Training Fee, which covers the attendance of all instructors hired before the studio's soft opening. The Initial Instructor Training Fee is $5,000, payable before the training starts. This fee does not cover any personnel-related expenses for the instructors attending the training.

Therefore, while Bft does not charge tuition for the initial franchisee training, franchisees should budget for travel and living expenses, as well as the separate Initial Instructor Training Fee for staff.
