What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Statement of Prospective Franchisee is included as Exhibit E. Item 23 includes a full Statement of Prospective Franchisee, which the prospective franchisee must complete in their own handwriting.
However, the Statement of Prospective Franchisee is not required to be completed if the prospective franchisee resides in or will operate the franchise in California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. Additionally, the statement should not be signed if the prospective franchisee is a resident of Maryland or will operate the franchise in Maryland.
Furthermore, residents of Washington or those operating a business in Washington should not sign the Statement of Prospective Franchisee, as it does not waive any liability Bft may have under the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act.
