What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a Technology Fee for the technology services provided as part of the Bft system. After the studio's Soft Opening, the standard Technology Fee is $715 per month. However, franchisees will pay a reduced Technology Fee of $250 per month during the Pre-Sales Phase, which lasts approximately five months before the Soft Opening.

This means that a new Bft franchisee will have two different Technology Fee payment obligations. For the five months leading up to the Soft Opening, they will pay the reduced rate of $250 per month, totaling $1,250 for this period. Once the Soft Opening occurs, the Technology Fee increases to the standard rate of $715 per month.

It is important to note that the Technology Fee is payable in a lump sum, uniformly imposed, and non-refundable under any circumstances. This fee covers the technology services that Bft provides as part of its franchise system, ensuring that all franchisees have access to the necessary tools and resources to operate their studios effectively. Franchisees should factor these ongoing technology costs into their financial projections when considering a Bft franchise.
