What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement includes a signature page. Specifically, the Multi-Unit Agreement includes signature blocks for both Bft Franchise SPV, LLC, and the Developer, to be completed and dated to indicate agreement to the terms.
The inclusion of a signature page is standard practice in franchise agreements. It legally binds both Bft and the franchisee (or developer, in the case of a Multi-Unit Agreement) to the terms and conditions outlined in the agreement. The FDD also mentions that faxed, scanned, or electronic signatures have the same effect and validity as original signatures, which provides flexibility in finalizing the agreement.
Furthermore, the FDD includes a receipt page that the prospective franchisee must sign and return to Bft, acknowledging receipt of the disclosure document and its exhibits. This receipt confirms that the franchisee has been provided with the necessary information to make an informed decision. The exhibits listed include the form of the Franchise Agreement and the Multi-Unit Agreement, reinforcing the importance of these documents in the franchise process.
