Franchisee agrees that any new concept, process or improvement in the operation or promotion of the Studio developed by or on behalf of Franchisee that relates to or enhances BFT Studios or the System, or any aspect of Franchisor's business, shall be the sole property of Franchisor, and Franchisee shall promptly notify Franchisor and shall provide Franchisor with all necessary information and execute all necessary documents to memorialize said ownership, or, if necessary, Franchisee's assignment of such ownership to Franchisor, without compensation.
Franchisee acknowledges that Franchisor may utilize or disclose such information to other Franchisees.
We have the right to use and authorize others to use all ideas, techniques, methods and processes relating to the Studio that you or your employees conceive or develop.
You also agree to fully and promptly disclose all ideas, techniques and other similar information relating to Studios or the Franchise that are conceived or developed by you and/or your employees. We will have a perpetual right to use, and to authorize others to use, those ideas, etc. without compensation or other obligation.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bft has specific rights regarding any new concepts, processes, or improvements related to the Studio that a franchisee or their employees develop. Any such developments that relate to or enhance Bft Studios, the Bft system, or any aspect of Bft's business become the sole property of Bft.
This means that if a franchisee or their employees come up with a new workout routine, marketing strategy, or operational improvement, the franchisee must promptly notify Bft and provide all necessary information to document Bft's ownership. The franchisee may also be required to formally assign ownership of these developments to Bft. The franchisee will not receive any compensation for these ideas or techniques.
Bft also has the right to use and authorize others to use all ideas, techniques, methods, and processes relating to the Studio that a franchisee or their employees conceive or develop. Bft may also disclose such information to other franchisees within the Bft system. This clause ensures that Bft can freely incorporate and disseminate improvements across the franchise network without compensating the originating franchisee.
