Who is responsible for the Training Fee for each trainee's participation in the Pre-Opening Instructor Training for a Bft franchise?

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the Training Fee for each trainee participating in the Pre-Opening Instructor Training. Bft will assess a Training Fee for each trainee. The franchisee is also responsible for the related costs and expenses associated with all personnel attending and completing the Pre-Opening Instructor Training, including the Fundamentals Training Program.

This means that as a Bft franchisee, you will need to budget for these training fees and associated costs when hiring and training instructors. The Pre-Opening Instructor Training is mandatory for every instructor who provides any of the Approved Services at your studio. This training must be completed before the instructor can provide instruction.

Bft reserves the right to review an instructor's testing results before approving that individual to provide Approved Services from the studio if the Pre-Opening Instructor Training is completed on-site at a Bft studio. An instructor that has completed the Pre-Opening Instructor Training in its entirety and is authorized to provide Approved Services at the franchisee's studio is considered an "Authorized Instructor."
