What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Bft Fund is responsible for covering the costs of services, materials, and administrative services provided by independent entities. Specifically, Bft can arrange for these services to be provided by independent persons or companies. However, the financial responsibility for all related costs and fees falls on the Bft Fund.
This means that franchisee contributions to the Bft Fund will be used, in part, to pay for these external services. While Bft manages the Fund, the franchisees benefit from the arrangement of these services. This setup ensures that Bft can leverage external expertise and resources for the benefit of the entire Bft franchise system, while the costs are covered collectively through the Fund.
It's important for prospective franchisees to understand how the Bft Fund operates and what types of expenses it covers. This arrangement allows Bft to maintain quality control and consistency across the franchise network by utilizing vetted third-party providers, with the costs being shared among all franchisees contributing to the Fund.
