What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must strictly comply with the requirements outlined in the Franchise Agreement and the System Standards to maintain high and uniform operating standards. These standards are crucial for increasing demand for classes and protecting Bft's reputation and goodwill. The System Standards are detailed in the Learning Management System and other written or oral communications from Bft.
This compliance extends to every detail of the studio's appearance and operation. Bft retains the right to inspect and assess all aspects of the studio's appearance and operations at any reasonable time without prior notice, subject to applicable laws. This includes inspecting the premises, fitness equipment, and facilities, as well as interviewing franchisees, employees, independent contractors, members, customers, and suppliers. Bft may also use "mystery shoppers" to evaluate the studio's performance.
Franchisees must ensure that all personnel involved in the studio's operation maintain traits of enthusiasm, cleanliness, neatness, friendliness, honesty, and loyalty. These qualities are deemed necessary to promote customer satisfaction and maintain the goodwill of the Bft system. Franchisees are responsible for staffing the studio with a sufficient number of qualified and competent personnel who have been trained according to the Franchise Agreement and System Standards.
Bft may revise its System Standards and the contents of the Learning Management System periodically, and franchisees must comply with each new or changed standard upon notification from Bft. This ensures that all Bft studios maintain a consistent and high-quality brand image and operational effectiveness.
