What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bft has the right to ensure franchisees demonstrate that all required personnel have participated in and successfully completed the Pre-Opening Instructor Training and corresponding test. This is part of Bft's right to inspect and audit the operations of the studio on an ongoing basis.

Bft mandates that any individual providing fitness instruction or approved services at the studio must first complete the Pre-Opening Instructor Training. If a franchisee allows services to be provided by someone who hasn't completed this training, Bft may terminate the franchise agreement. The studio must have at least one individual who has completed the Pre-Opening Instructor Training on-site at all times when approved services are being provided.

Furthermore, franchisees must ensure that any Pre-Opening Instructor Training held at their studio adheres to System Standards, that participants successfully complete the program and pass any associated tests, and that no personnel provides fitness instruction without completing the training and passing the test. Failure to comply with these requirements, or any other material obligation, may result in Bft charging a non-compliance fee.
