What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for a single studio is $60,000. However, if a franchisee or their affiliates are opening a second Bft studio, the initial franchise fee is reduced to $50,000. For a third or subsequent studio, the initial franchise fee is further reduced to $40,000. This reduction in fees for additional studios can make expanding with Bft more financially attractive for existing franchisees.
It is important to note that these fees are non-refundable. Additionally, if a franchise broker is owed a commission for the additional franchise due to a previous introduction, the franchisee will need to pay an additional sourcing fee of $28,000 on top of the initial franchise fee. This sourcing fee is a separate cost and should be considered when budgeting for the new studio.
This tiered fee structure is a common practice in franchising, designed to incentivize franchisees to expand their operations. By lowering the initial investment for additional units, Bft aims to encourage successful franchisees to grow within the system, benefiting both the franchisee and the overall brand. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these fee reductions when evaluating the potential for multi-unit ownership with Bft.
