What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, no purchasing or distribution cooperatives have been formed for franchisees. This means that Bft franchisees do not currently have the option to collectively negotiate prices or distribution terms with suppliers through a cooperative.
Without a cooperative, individual Bft franchisees may have less bargaining power when purchasing required goods and services. They must rely on the arrangements Bft negotiates with approved suppliers. This could potentially lead to higher costs for franchisees compared to a system where a cooperative leverages the collective buying power of its members.
While no cooperatives exist, Bft does negotiate purchase arrangements and may establish strategic alliances with suppliers. Bft may also receive compensation from these approved suppliers based on franchisee purchases. Franchisees should inquire about how Bft ensures these negotiated prices are competitive and beneficial to the franchisees, even without a formal cooperative structure.
