What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee is acquiring an existing Bft studio from another franchisee, they must pay Bft's then-current training fee for individuals required to attend the Initial Training Program. This is necessary to meet the requirements outlined in the relevant section of the FDD.

This means that if you are taking over an existing Bft franchise, you will likely need to ensure that you and/or your staff complete the necessary training programs to align with Bft's standards. This may involve paying training fees to Bft for the required training. The cost of these training fees will be whatever Bft is charging at the time of the transfer.

This requirement ensures that all Bft locations maintain a consistent level of service and expertise, regardless of ownership changes. It protects the brand's reputation and ensures that new owners are adequately prepared to operate the franchise according to Bft's established standards and procedures. Prospective franchisees should factor these potential training costs into their budget when considering acquiring an existing Bft franchise.
