What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Pre-Sales Phase and Opening Support Program must begin once the franchisee's real estate lease is signed. Bft also states that they will consult and advise franchisees on establishing the Pre-Sales Phase and Opening Support Program.
Bft mandates participation in the Opening Support Program, which is provided by a third-party Approved Supplier and overseen by Bft's internal marketing and sales departments. Franchisees may be required to spend certain amounts on services or content supplied by Bft's Approved Suppliers as part of this program.
Furthermore, Bft will authorize franchisees to commence the Pre-Sales Phase when (i) a premises lease agreement accepted by them for the Authorized Location has been signed (and, in some cases, once a letter of intent is signed in connection with the premises), and (ii) the franchisee's pre-opening sales plan has been approved by Bft.
