What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, it is possible to lease the computer and POS systems required for a Bft studio. Item 7 outlines the estimated initial investment for opening a Bft franchise, and it specifically addresses the audio/visual package, computer system, and related components. The FDD states that franchisees can expect initial cash outlays to be lower if these items are leased rather than purchased outright. This provides a potential option for franchisees to reduce their upfront investment costs.
The computer system must include a personal computer and a point-of-sale system (POS System) with a high-speed internet connection and a local area network with a dedicated server. The audio/visual package includes all audio and visual equipment and related components. Franchisees must purchase the Audio/Visual Package from designated vendors and execute any related software licenses required by these vendors. The estimated initial investment for the audio/visual package, computer system, and related components ranges from $38,500 to $38,500.
While Bft does not offer direct or indirect financing, they may assist franchisees in obtaining working capital through other sources. The availability and terms of financing will depend on factors such as the franchisee's creditworthiness and the policies of lending institutions. The FDD advises prospective franchisees to seek advice from their own insurance professional before signing any binding documents or making any investments.
