Initial Marketing Requirement; Opening Support Program

In addition to the Local Advertising Requirement, you will be required to spend a minimum of $15,000 in connection with pre-opening sales activities and other initial launch promotional activities designed to increase visibility of your Studio within your Designated Territory. You may be required to spend all or some portion of these funds on products/services received from an Approved Supplier we designate or approve, and all materials used in connection with your grand opening campaign must be approved by us if not previously designated for use. We expect that you will typically be required to spend these amounts in the 30 to 60 days prior to opening and in the 30-day period following the opening of your Studio (Franchise Agreement, Section 9.2).

Your Pre-Sales Phase and Opening Support Program must commence once your real estate lease is signed. The Opening Support Program is provided by our third-party Approved Supplier and is currently overseen by our internal marketing and sales departments. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must spend a minimum of $15,000 on pre-opening sales and initial launch promotional activities to increase the visibility of their studio within their designated territory. This is in addition to the Local Advertising Requirement.

The FDD specifies that Bft may require franchisees to spend all or a portion of these funds on products or services from an approved supplier. All grand opening campaign materials must be approved by Bft if they were not previously designated for use.

Bft expects that franchisees will typically spend this $15,000 in the 30 to 60 days before opening their studio and in the 30-day period following the opening. This Initial Marketing Requirement does not count towards the Local Advertising Requirement and is not subject to the Marketing Expenditure Cap.
